The Team
We are seeking a Sr Director, Data Governance & Intelligence to lead the development and execution of a global data governance and reporting strategy in support of the company’s transformation and operational maturity. This leader will shape and implement enterprise-wide data and information governance policies, standardize critical reporting practices, and drive data stewardship programs that enable reliable, secure, and actionable insights across the business.
As part of the Business Enablement function, this role will partner closely with regional leaders, functional stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure data and reporting capabilities are aligned with evolving business needs, embedded into day-to-day decision-making, and consistently governed across all regions. This leader will serve as the steward of enterprise data quality, data set curation, and the advancement of analytical capabilities including AI-enabled tools, while also fostering a culture of data literacy and ownership across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in enterprise data governance, business intelligence, and reporting architecture within complex, asset-heavy or infrastructure environments. They will provide thought leadership, establish cross-functional data policies and practices, and build a global center of excellence (CoE) for data and reporting innovation.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
At least 12 years of experience in enterprise data governance, data strategy, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally in infrastructure, telecommunications, or real estate environments.
Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, including policy creation, role definition, and stewardship models.
Strong track record in reporting and analytics development, including standard dashboards, performance KPIs, ad-hoc analysis, and AI-enabled tools.
Experience in defining and curating enterprise data sets, including metadata management and quality assurance processes.
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), data warehouses, and modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
Understanding of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, RPA, and their business applications.
Demonstrated success working with IT to implement MDM, data cataloging tools, and reporting platforms.
Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience, ideally in a global or matrixed organization.
Ability to balance global standards with local business flexibility in data definitions and reporting.
Experience developing and delivering enterprise training programs related to data, analytics, and reporting best practices.
High attention to detail, with a focus on quality, security, and consistency in data-driven operations.
Ability to influence and inspire teams to adopt data-driven cultures and practices.
Approximately 20–25% international travel may be required in support of this position’s responsibilities.
What You Can Offer Us Lead the global Data & Reporting Excellence function, responsible for advancing enterprise data governance, reporting consistency, and analytics capability across the company.
Define and implement global data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, data ownership models, and stewardship accountability.
Develop and manage a data governance program to ensure consistent, accurate, and trustworthy data across core systems and reporting platforms.
Establish clear processes for defining, maintaining, and curating critical data elements (CDEs), attributes, and data sets used throughout the business.
Oversee the lifecycle management of enterprise data assets, including documentation standards, metadata tagging, and integrity validation.
Partner with IT to align business-led governance with data architecture, MDM platforms, and integrated reporting systems.
Define and maintain a comprehensive business data catalog and reporting inventory, driving clarity and standardization across the organization.
Lead the development of standardized dashboards and core reports, ensuring consistency in KPIs, business logic, and source systems.
Deliver advanced analytics, data visualizations, and ad-hoc reporting support for business units with limited in-house analytics capacity.
Drive the design requirements and governance of AI-enabled analytics, ensuring ethical, explainable, and secure use of emerging technologies.
Guide configuration and deployment of analytics and BI tools, and curated user data sets, ensuring scalability, usability, and alignment with user experience goals.
Oversee business document management strategy, ensuring version control, lifecycle ownership, and accessibility of operational documents.
Lead and develop a global CoE for data, reporting, and analytics, offering training, coaching, and standards support across functions and regions.
Collaborate with business leaders to promote data literacy and self-service capabilities, enabling better insight generation and decision-making.
Act as a strategic partner in enterprise system selection, ensuring reporting and data management capabilities are central to solution design.
Guide and design future data tool selection and management for data marts, data exchanges, and other external data tools.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, information accountability, and cross-functional alignment.
Perform other duties as required in support of transformation, operational effectiveness, and digital innovation.
