Senior Cloud Engineer Position Location:

This position is available to Virginia residents in Richmond or Lynchburg, VA (Hybrid in-office or remote applicants residing in states/locations under Eastern or Central Standard Time, including Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin). Your Role:

As a member of the Cloud Engineering Team, you’ll influence the design, implementation, and support of cloud-based solutions (with a focus on Azure) while also playing a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions across our cloud and on-premise ecosystem. What You Will Be Doing: Cross-training other team members on best practices, standards, and secure implementation of Azure tools and services. Serving as the primary point of contact for Azure-based solution delivery. Collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to deliver top-tier cloud/Azure solutions. Driving adoption, automation, and optimization of technologies supporting DevSecOps paradigms. Building IT solutions on high-performance, scalable, and flexible infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud (Kubernetes; AWS / GCP / Azure). Assisting developers and business stakeholders in designing and securely using tools and solutions. Developing infrastructure-as-code automation using Terraform. Supporting and refining existing DevSecOps tools to meet customer needs. What You Bring: A positive, customer-first attitude. In-depth Azure expertise. Experience in process improvement, automation, and support within a highly regulated, enterprise environment. 5+ years in architecture and/or cloud-native roles. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience with DevSecOps paradigms (CI/CD, automated deployments, Kubernetes, containerization). A passion for building cloud-hosted solutions across multiple providers. The salary range for this role starts at $84,100 and goes up to $139,400, with eligibility for an incentive plan based on performance, targeting 10% of base salary. Final pay will be determined based on location, experience, and qualifications.
