Position Overview
Our Principal Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations, international aviation laws, and specific manufacturer requirements. The role demands maintaining integrity across products and guiding Quality and Operations teams to meet these benchmarks.
Core Duties
Lead the development of inspection procedures, vendor evaluations, and updating technical resources. Verify comprehensive inspections of all finished work, ensuring correct execution of reports and documentation prior to service release. Manage regulatory documentation including Aviation Regulations and Airworthiness Directives. Ensure periodic calibration of inspection tools and precision test equipment. Prevent the release of any substandard components within the repair facility. Conduct audits ensuring compliance with quality standards. Institute and maintain Corrective Action systems. Design standards influenced by customer feedback and corrective action history. Plan and design inspection standards and procedures adhering to FAR and client specifications. Facilitate ongoing training programs. Oversee the inspection processes during final release of components. Resolve issues by liaising with Management, the FAA, and other key stakeholders. Additional tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A decade of relevant technical experience or a Bachelor's degree offsetting three years of experience. Technician certification. Strong communication skills with FAA and international aviation authorities. Eligibility for a Repairman’s License. Competency in Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable Skills
Prolonged FAA 145 MRO inspection experience. Advanced degree. A&P License holder. Proficiency in ISO/Lean methodologies.
