We're looking for a Junior Underwriter to join a growing E&S Personal Lines Underwriting team. This is a launchpad role for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a mission-driven company at the intersection of climate and insurance. You will work alongside experienced underwriters and gain hands-on exposure to underwriting processes, risk evaluation models, broker communications, and real-time quoting workflows. Core Responsibilities This role is designed for someone proactive, curious, and excited to be in a fast-moving environment. You will: Support the underwriting team in evaluating new insurance applications Assist in reviewing property data, risk characteristics, and quote submissions Communicate with brokers to gather missing information and ensure smooth workflows Help document decisions, track quote volumes, and maintain operational accuracy Learn how to interpret climate-driven models and risk scoring tools Contribute to ongoing projects that improve underwriting efficiency and service Ideal Background Bachelor's degree (any major; we care more about mindset than field of study) Clear interest in insurance, climate resilience, or financial services Enthusiasm to learn and grow Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities Team-first mindset and high personal accountability
