American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a high-volume adult acute care setting, requiring at least 1 year of independent experience and Epic EMR proficiency.Job Details•Work primarily in a hospital-based adult acute care setting with occasional coverage in the main outpatient department,•Duties include bedside echocardiograms for adult patients with advanced cardiac pathology, following ASE protocols and guidelines,•Average patient ratio is 1:8 with approximately 9 visits per day,•Advanced devices encountered include Impella, LVAD, ECMO, and structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, and LAAO,•Philips ultrasound machines are primarily used with GE equipment found mainly in the outpatient facility,•Epic and ScImage (PACS) are used for documentation and imaging,•Rotating day shifts from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM and 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with self-scheduling,•Six weekend shifts are required per contract and floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals may be needed,Job Requirements•Minimum 1 year of experience working independently as a cardiac sonographer in a high-volume acute care environment,•ARDMS RDCS AE, BLS, and CCI RDCS certifications required,•Experience with 2D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, portable echo studies, RVIT, RVOT, Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area,•Competency with Philips ultrasound systems required,•Pre/post advanced cardiac device imaging experience required; procedural support for device placement preferred but not required,•Epic EMR proficiency required,•Valid and active NC or compact state license required at time of start; license required if applicable,•First-time travelers are accepted,Additional Information•Daily duties include advanced cardiac imaging primarily at the bedside in acute care and critical care units,•Follow isolation precautions and provide care for complex cardiac device patients,•Three-day orientation program with facility and protocol training is provided,•RTO after booking is not allowed and excessive call-offs may result in assignment cancellation,•Candidates must be able to float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities according to skill set and unit needs,•Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment,•Return staff must have at least 12 months gap before reapplying as a traveler and require facility rehire approval,•Travelers living under 50 miles from the facility are considered locals and will be offered a lower rate,•Team-based environment with coverage for weekends and variable shifts,•Travel pairs are allowed but must be on different units,],•hash,:•17661764114065554856,
