Job Description
: Shipping and Receiving
The packing and shipping of all outbound finished goods and receiving and storing of all incoming shipments and documentation of all shipping/receiving activities. A production, sales, and shipping specialist combine manufacturing, sales duties, and logistics responsibilities. A Fulfillment Specialist is the conduit between the sales process and the physical movement of goods and services, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both the company and its customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum three years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Good communication skills, both English and Spanish (Read, write, and speak.)
Computer skills (data entry) including understanding of Microsoft Office software
Experienced at using QuickBooks Online
Punctual, organized, and pay attention to detail.
Skilled in basic mental math
Forklift experience and certificate would be an asset.
Able to lift 50 lbs. frequently
Ability to solve problems, train-able, willing to ask for help, and willing to learn.
Confidence and professionalism in representing the Company.
Willingness to be a team player and take direction from management.
Must be self-directed and can work with minimal supervision.
Capable of standing for long periods of time or for an entire shift, excluding breaks
Be a team player and work with co-workers and customers in an honest and respectful manner.
Job Duties:
Follow all Company policies, rules, and regulations for safety, environmental, and quality.
Responsible for ensuring all materials for orders are properly distributed and maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Create work orders for production personnel to make customer ordered products, or to replenish inventory.
Review and direct the work and activities of manufacturing and shipping assistants.
Schedule workload to ensure product is properly prepared and staged in accordance with the picking schedules and shipped in an accurate and timely manner.
Pick orders, verifying quantities, product codes, and lot numbers.
Prepare packing lists, barcode labels, and bills of lading.
Prepare and package parts for shipment.
Load and unload trucks, move material within the warehouse or storage facility using a forklift truck, hoist, motorized conveyor, or other material handling equipment.
Weigh and document all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Properly maintain shipping logbooks to record outgoing shipments.
Scan in all records to document orders to the customer and vendor files.
Assure proper identification of all totes, pallets, and cartons.
Perform data entry responsibilities on a timely basis, especially job traveler information.
Assist in the training, orientation, and monitoring of the warehouse personnel.
Participate in period ending inventories.
Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, comparing size, weight, description and bar code numbers with information on shipping documents, packing lists and purchase orders.
Maintain paperwork/traceability of all incoming material to include Packing Lists, Certs, Lab Reports, Conformity data and any other pertinent information.
Support all sales and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales-related activities include quoting, confirming customer orders, and providing manufacturing instructions for production.
• Promoting products or services to potential and existing clients, and build/maintain customer relationships.
• Instructions to manufacturing for both stock and custom orders,
• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
• Customer invoicing, shipping logistics, managing inventory, and maintaining proper and detailed records on all the above.
Sales and Customer Service:
• Prompt communication with customers, especially estimates/quote requests.
• Pull orders from inventory or provide build instructions to production.
• Follow shipping procedures, documentation, and regulations to get orders shipped.
General Operations:
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all transactions.
• Assisting in marketing projects including online sales.
• Treat vendor and customer information with confidentiality.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Support team goals and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
Skills Required:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and pay attention to detail.
• Good read/write skills to produce clear and effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Able to identify and act to resolve issues related to production, sales, and shipping.
• Support both customers and the work team with honest and respectful interactions.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with relevant software, including QuickBooks Online and shipping platforms.
• Microsoft software products including Excel, Word, and others.
• Able to use Gmail and other Google products.
• Preparing and reviewing shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinating and tracking shipments with carriers and custom brokers.
• Updating inventory counts.
• Managing returns and exchanges.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations like sales tax collection.
• Operating warehouse equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
Pay Details:
$24.00 per hour
