$80–$85/hr Job Summary: The
Project Manager
is a career-level role overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of electric operations projects, including
distribution, substation, and transmission
initiatives. Acting as the single point of contact, you’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, results-driven execution, and a proven ability to manage complex utility projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Establish project teams and secure commitment on work plans, schedules, budgets, and communication strategies. Track and analyze project costs, scope, and schedules; maintain documentation and reporting. Oversee vendor tasks, review deliverables, and integrate contributions into overall project plans. Monitor and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Ensure quality standards are met; adjust scope and schedule with sponsor approval when required. Represent projects to government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders. Oversee low-risk EPC contracts and manage specialized material procurement. Mentor Associate Project Managers and share best practices. Travel 15–20% to project sites within San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience. Minimum 3 years in project management, project controls, engineering, or construction (internal hires) or 4 years (external hires). Nice-to-Have Experience:
Project Management Professional ( PMP ) certification. Experience in electric substation, distribution, and transmission projects. Proficiency with SAP Financials, Work Management modules, and Microsoft Project. Ability to wear and use company-provided
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) . Required Skills:
Project management across large-scale utility projects. Risk assessment and mitigation planning. Stakeholder communication and team leadership. Preferred Skills:
Utility infrastructure knowledge. Contract oversight and vendor coordination. Financial forecasting and cash flow management. Additional Skills:
Forensic problem analysis and resolution. Representing projects to external agencies. Applying prior lessons learned to future projects. Benefits:
