Director of Treasury
.The Director of Treasury will lead treasury operations across the health system, overseeing all aspects of cash management, debt strategy, banking relationships, investment reporting, and rating agency communications. This role is both strategic and operational, requiring technical expertise, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure liquidity, optimize capital structure, and maintain compliance with debt covenants.

Key Responsibilities Treasury Operations & Cash Management Develop and maintain cash forecasting tools and daily liquidity reporting Oversee banking relationships, including account structures, fee analysis, and service agreements Manage online banking platforms, access controls, and treasury systems across entities Investment Oversight Oversee investment reporting for unrestricted and restricted funds, pension assets, and deferred compensation plans Support execution of investment committee directives, including capital calls, rebalancing, and liquidation decisions Ensure accurate GAAP-based investment accounting and monthly reconciliations Debt Management & Rating Agencies Lead compliance with bond covenants and lender reporting Support the structuring and execution of new debt issuances, including public offerings Serve as the primary point of contact for rating agencies and investors; prepare and deliver rating agency presentations Capital Planning Support Partner with Finance and Facilities teams on capital spend projections, debt capacity, and funding strategies Monitor debt drawdowns, interest expense forecasts, and amortization schedules ERP & System Integration Represent Treasury during ERP implementations or upgrades Drive automation and process improvements in cash reporting and investment accounting Leadership & Collaboration Supervise treasury and investment accounting staff Act as a liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and compliance teams on treasury-related matters Maintain robust internal controls and documentation Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in treasury or corporate finance, preferably in healthcare or a large nonprofit setting Experience with rating agencies, debt issuance, and financial institutions Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with treasury workstations and ERP systems (e.g., Lawson, Workday, Oracle) Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and cash flow analysis Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional initiatives
