General Helper - 1st Shift

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General Quality Control. Responsible for packing product that are within specifications, including size, color, shape, etc.Assigned to clear jams in packing/labeling/casing area.Produce to product specifications as specified by the customerAssist other general helper roles as assignedMaintain the area clean and safe - general housekeeping. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Commit to a continuous improvement work team environmentWork weekends as assignedOther duties and/or projects assigned SCOPE DATA:No direct reportsReports to Plant Manager/takes direction from Foreperson WORKING RELATIONSHIP: Works closely with oven operator, packaging lead, quality and maintenance staff as needed, as well as other general helper positions PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Pushing, pulling, bendingMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience (Years/Type): Entry levelAbout us:Alpha Baking Company, Inc., a national distributor of breads, rolls and buns, as well as sweet goods, was founded in 1979.
