Job Title: Mammography Technologist Location: Syracuse, NY Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (No weekends)Overview:We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and ARRT certification in both Radiography and Mammography.Key Responsibilities:Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following physician orders and established protocols.Position patients correctly, applying appropriate compression to ensure high-quality images while prioritizing patient comfort.Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper calibration, safety, and compliance with regulations.Document patient information, exam details, and imaging results accurately in the EMR and PACS.Educate patients on the mammography process, addressing concerns to promote understanding and reduce anxiety.Adhere to MQSA and ACR guidelines for quality control and documentation.Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and fellow technologists to ensure timely and accurate results.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and advanced certification in Mammography (M) required.Valid state Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable).Minimum 1-2 years of mammography experience preferred.BLS certification.Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.Proficiency in mammography imaging principles, positioning techniques, and quality control procedures.
