Job Description: TheHRBusinessPartnerwillreporttotheDirector Employee & Labor Relationsand willserve as a business partneron HR mattersfor themanagement team and proactively creates solutions for long term success. Creates and maintains a strong partnership with local WeDriveUmanagement team to manage Human Resources activities including but not limited to relevant wage and hourlaw administration, interpretation and policy implementation, employee relations, disciplinary action coachingand write ups, labor relations,andemployee and management investigations. Generatesreports and createsmetrics for management. Recommendsnew approaches and policies & procedures to influence continual improvements in efficiency of department and servicesperformed. ManagesHR special projects as needed. SupervisionReceived:Works independently underdirectionofVP,HRand HR Management team. Supervision Exercised : Works independently on programs and projects in alignment with HR Team. Duties and Responsibilities: Builds strong relationships with field management and employees to improve collaboration, build morale,andincrease productivity and retention. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Workswith Shop Stewards and management team to ensure compliance with company policy and the collective bargaining agreements.Responds to inquiries and provides thoughtful follow-through in an efficient and complete manner. Supportsthe Employee and Labor Relations function.Manages and resolves employee relations issuesandconducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations ensuring compliance with WeDriveU and local laws. Ensures proper documentation and follow-through are completed in a timely manner with solid communication of results to both employees and managers. Participates in coordinating training initiativesforWeDriveUniversity, the company training program. MaintainsHR policies and procedures.Recommend new approaches to influence continual improvements in efficiency ofdepartmentand services performed. Managesemployee engagement initiatives and activities. Additional duties and responsibilities may apply. Skills Required and Physical Demands: Strong working knowledge of all applicable Human Resources laws and policies at federal andappropriate state level. Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, includingtalent acquisition,compensation practices, organizationaldevelopment, employeeandlaborrelations,training,diversity,andperformancemanagement. Strongknowledge of wage andhour laws.Working knowledge of union collective bargaining laws,negotiations,and approaches. Excellentcommunication,projectmanagement,presentation,processadministration,interpersonal, and relationship building skills. Interpret laws, policies and processes to all levels of employees. Deliver results thatsupport business goals and objectives. Review and delivertraining programs andcreate solutions that match needs of employees. Work independently and as part of a team. Very strong ability to be confidentialand handle information discreetly. Proactively raise issues and create solutions. Proficient in Google Workspace and HR Systems. Hybrid (Office/Remote)position, with possibletravelup to15% of the time. Additional skills and physical demands may apply. Education and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fieldpreferred.
