Adelphi is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide services to students in a public school district in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will offer in-person assessment, direct therapy, and consultative services for students with physical disabilities and delays, as determined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Active and valid license issued by the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Minimum of 1 year of pediatric or school-based experience preferred . Familiarity with IEP implementation and documentation. Strong collaborative and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt therapy in various educational settings (e.g., classroom, gym, playground)Responsibilities: Provide assessments and re-evaluations for students ages 322 to determine therapy needs. Develop and present individualized goals and objectives during IEP meetings. Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with IEPs. Participate in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and collaborative team meetings. Maintain accurate service documentation, including therapy logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing. Assist school teams with strategies, equipment recommendations, and student-specific interventions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines on service delivery, confidentiality, and student safety. Provide services within school hours and calendar schedule in smoke-free environments. Other duties as assigned.
