A respected academic medical center in central New Jersey is seeking a Physician Assistant with inpatient urology experience to provide locum tenens coverage for a maternity leave. This role includes weekday rounding, weekend call, and performing core urologic procedures in collaboration with a team of experienced urologists and APPs. The ideal candidate is confident in their skills, independent, and comfortable working in a high-volume, procedure-driven inpatient setting. - Inpatient urology coverage at a large academic teaching hospital
- Monday-Friday shifts: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Weekend call: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (no overnight call)
- Call is required on rotating weekends
- Patient load: 15-29 patients per day
- Procedures include:
- Complex foley placement and management
- Continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
- Suprapubic tube (SPT) exchange
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active NJ license preferred (IMLC accepted if eligible)
- CDS and DEA required by start date
- Inpatient urology or surgical subspecialty experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently with physicians and other APPs
- No trauma experience required
