?About the role: As a Data Scientist you will develop and analyze models and other organizational data to quantify the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies. Additionally, you will analyze organizational data to recommend solutions to new and complex problems.

About our Team: The analytics team is responsible for new product innovation, model development, and creating actionable insights for our customers. We work closely with the Vertical and Product teams to design and implement new solutions in the insurance market. By harnessing the power of data, our analytics team empowers insurers to make informed decisions, optimize risk segmentation, and enhance underwriting strategies, ultimately driving success in an ever-evolving insurance landscape.

You will be responsible for:

Researching and analyzing structured and unstructured data, experimenting with innovative statistical methodologies to generate predictive analytic attributes.

Leading the design and development of data acquisition processes and machine learning solutions that produce attributes used in risk segmentation models.

Exploring, research, and design advanced analytics and data science methodologies for large-scale, complex datasets.

Acquiring, store, archive, index, transfer, and analyze high-volume structured and unstructured datasets.

Identifying and mine new data sources to enhance, validate, and optimize existing models.

Collaborating with peers to share expertise, transfer skills, and contribute to the team's collective knowledge base.

Maintaining a deep understanding of the team's core functions, tools, documentation and technologies.

Staying up to date on emerging technologies and industry best practices that can improve team performance and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Capable of building or testing new processes with guidance from senior team members.

Domain expertise in Data manipulation and/or Statistical Analysis, with the ability to develop advanced data features and deploy them into production.

Skilled in scoping and executing new statistical procedures with support and approval from senior stakeholders.

Proficient in independently designing and implementing standard data preparation and processing steps for analysis.

Comfortable working across multiple programming languages commonly used in Data Science, such as Python, SQL, R and Java.
