Roles and Responsibilities: Installing, configuring, and maintaining laptop workstations, printers, operating systems, applications, and associated services. Monitoring system performance and proactively troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal system and network availability. Managing user accounts, permissions, email, and security settings. Collaborating with team members to identify and implement system enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability. Evaluating, recommending, and implementing software and hardware upgrades. Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with established standards. Running workstation security scans and troubleshooting quarantine issues. Providing timely technical support to end-users, addressing technical issues and inquiries. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience and Qualifications: CompTIA S+ certification Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Familiarity with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. Experience with government networks and administration a plus (e.g., RDTE, NMCI) Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Other relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, etc.) are advantageous. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems. Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts. Proficiency in virtualization technologies and cloud platforms. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with users and team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Capacity to adapt and learn quickly in a constantly evolving IT landscape. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
