ERM is seeking a motivated
Consulting Associate, Land & Right of Way
based in
Minneapolis
to support projects primarily in the electric transmission and distribution industry. The role involves supporting projects across various sectors, negotiating and securing land agreements, and assisting with project management tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to grow within a global environmental leader. Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects ensuring deliverables meet client expectations regarding scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Negotiate and secure legal land agreements (rights-of-way, leases, grants, fee purchases, etc.) with landowners, including private owners, corporations, and government agencies. Assist with deed and title research, review title searches, and aid in rights abstraction. Serve as a liaison between property owners and clients. Support land valuation studies and related tasks, excluding appraisals. Help prepare and submit applications for permits, licenses, and bonds. Investigate damage claims, assessments, and settlements. Develop proposals, budgets, project plans, and bid documents. Track project land budgets and prepare financial reports. Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; candidates with 3+ years of related experience will also be considered. IRWA or similar registration is preferred but not required. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in teams. Experience with power generation, electrical transmission, renewable energy, mining, oil & gas, or technology projects is a plus. Compensation and Benefits
Annual base pay ranges from $66,240 to $73,033, depending on qualifications and experience. The role may be eligible for bonus pay. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, health insurance, 401(k), and more. Application Process
