Common Qualifications
While each startup has its own hiring criteria, many
engineering lead and technical lead
roles in our network look for: 6+ years of experience
in software engineering, with leadership experience
Strong expertise in
backend frameworks
(Node.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, Spring Boot) and/or
front-end frameworks
(React, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte)
Experience with
databases
(PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)
Proficiency in
cloud platforms
(AWS, GCP, Azure) and
containerization tools
(Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong coding skills in
JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go, or Java
Experience leading
cross-functional teams
and collaborating with leadership on technical roadmaps
Background in
performance optimization, distributed systems, and software scalability
Familiarity with
DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring solutions
