Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Pediatrician to join our team at the Yonkers Valentine Lane. A Nurse Practitioner, under the direction of a physician, is responsible for planning, evaluating and delivering the health care of patients on assigned service. Emphasizes preventative health measures and education of patients. She/he will perform other duties as assigned and in compliance with systems and job-specific standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his/her specialty following evidence-based standard of care. Provides off hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so. Designs and participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews. Provides supervision for clinical activities of medical providers and medical documentation in his/her department, including but not limited to review of protocols, telephone triage, follow-up procedures. Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRH patients outside the Health Center. Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty; participates in the development of programs to carry out these standards. Maintains legible and appropriate documentation of medical records. Participates and attends provider meetings. Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality and patient satisfaction standards. Minimum Education Requirement:

Doctorate Degree (including MD, DO, DD, PhD, etc.) Minimum Licensure:

Physician License in New York State, Board Certified and CPR/BLS Required Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures that nurse practitioners are trained to do and are necessary for practicing in health care centers. Competence in delivery of health care to patients (including preventative health education). Ability to collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction. Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written) is preferred.
