We are currently seeking a

Senior GIS Analyst

to join our geospatial and asset management team. This role supports programs in transportation, stormwater, utilities, and public infrastructure, combining spatial analysis, field data workflows, and GIS application development to drive high-impact, data-informed solutions. The position will directly support the implementation of a GIS-dependent asset management system for a major transportation agency. The selected candidate will work closely with agency staff and consultants to assess GIS data, streamline CAD and field inspection integration, and ensure the system is ready for long-term infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

GIS Data Preparation & Integration

Assess and prepare GIS data to support implementation of a new asset management platform.

Manage and analyze data related to physical assets like infrastructure (roads, utilities) for municipal and transportation agencies.

Develop, edit, and maintain GIS datasets, ensuring data accuracy and quality control.

Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.

Collaborate with CAD and field teams to integrate data from DGN, DWG, and inspection reports into GIS/AMS systems.

Integrate GIS data with asset management systems (like Cityworks) and other relevant databases.

Transform and integrate new and existing data to evaluate asset performance and support strategic goals.

Create and maintain documentation for GIS workflows and metadata.

Application Development & Configuration

GIS application development and application maintenance/upgrades.

ArcGIS server web application development and maintenance.

Develop and/or enhance custom GIS web applications, scripts, spatial data and layers using multiple developing and scripting .

Develop ESRI Survey123 and Collector applications.

Code using ESRI GIS developer tools and Python.

Platform Support & Operations

Support and configure GIS software, including ArcGIS Online and Portal.

Streamline data management and security features.

Field & Inspection Support

Assist or oversee field data collection using GPS and mobile apps.

Work closely with the asset management implementation team to coordinate data readiness and delivery milestones.

Training, Documentation & Reporting

Produce maps, reports, and dashboards using GIS data and analysis results.

Provide training and technical assistance to other internal or client team members on GIS and asset management practices.

Develop online training manuals.

Train end users on application use.

Team Collaboration

Support GIS-related projects and collaborate with other internal and client teams and departments.

Identify areas for improvement in design, performance optimization, development process, workflows, and tools/technologies.

Participate in weekly or monthly progress meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, or a related engineering field; 7+ years of relevant professional experience required.

Hands-on experience supporting enterprise asset management system implementations (e.g., Cityworks, Maximo, Cartegraph, DOT platforms).

Strong familiarity with CAD-to-GIS workflows, field data integration, inspection reports, and mobile app data ingestion.

Proficiency in ESRIs ArcGIS ecosystem: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Mobile.

Skilled in Python scripting and ArcGIS ModelBuilder for geoprocessing and automation.

Experience developing Survey123 and Collector applications.

Working knowledge of SQL Server, Google Maps integration, and securing data via web services.

Strong technical documentation skills.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
