Bench Operations for Digital Fix is responsible for supporting the mechanical integration of sensors and computers for next generation automated driving systems into the vehicle platform. Our Engineering Technicians, Bench are responsible for partnering closely with their engineering counterparts to design and build test assets including vehicles and benches.

What you’ll do:
Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software Tech Writing specific to assembly build and triage processes Perform vehicle teardowns, modifications and installation of development hardware installation Build harnesses for vehicles and benches Assemble development hardware onto vehicles Build rack mounted bench setups with development hardware Work with engineering counterparts on hand-off of new test assets and troubleshooting any issues Deploy software and firmware at the component and system level using various systems (linux, OEM tools, Windows)
What you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree with two years of employment experience or a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with four years of employment experience is required. Expertise as a vehicle technician Electrical and mechanical skills for vehicle and bench builds Willingness and mindset to ask critical questions and provide feedback to the engineering teams Ambition and ability to learn new skills such as running test scripts, updating firmware, etc Puts safety first, taking proactive steps to minimize risk in all work and ensure any concerns are resolved Continuous improvement mindset developing and implementing ideas to improve the work environment and processes Strong attention to detail Teamwork and strong cross-functional communication skills are essential Proven strong analytical and problem solving skills 2+ years of experience with using Apple MacOS, Ubuntu Linux Strong familiarity with G-Suite, Zoom, Slack and other collaboration platforms Experience with automated desktop deployments using modern configuration management systems Advanced understanding of Wired and Wireless Networking concepts, general troubleshooting steps and network tools
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task in an environment of changing priorities Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate across geographically distributed teams Proven resourcefulness, creativity and troubleshooting skills IP networking and subnetting knowledge Basic knowledge of networking technology and troubleshooting

History working closely with engineering teams Experience building harnesses Machining expertise 3+ years of overall IT/technical support experience
Compensation: $35-$38/hr Health Benefits Retirement Plan Matching
