Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

The EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations meet all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards, while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Management:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and implement proactive measures to maintain a compliant workplace. Program Development:

Design, implement, and manage effective EHS programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment. Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular safety and environmental risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Training and Education:

Develop and lead EHS training programs for employees at all levels, promoting awareness and a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility. Incident Management:

Manage the investigation and reporting of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; implement corrective actions and ensure lessons are shared across teams. Environmental Stewardship:

Oversee environmental management systems, including waste reduction, air emissions, water treatment, and energy efficiency initiatives. Partnership Development:

Collaborate with internal teams (production, quality, engineering, etc.) to integrate EHS considerations into operations and projects. Policy Updates:

Monitor changes in EHS regulations and update company policies and procedures as needed to remain compliant and ahead of industry standards. Metrics and Reporting:

Develop and track key EHS performance indicators, preparing reports for senior management and regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications and Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 7 years of EHS leadership experience in the manufacturing or industrial sectors. Proven success in the development and management of EHS programs, including environmental compliance and workplace safety in a plant or manufacturing environment. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is a plus. Certifications:

Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) preferred. Regulatory Expertise:

Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Technical Skills:

Familiarity with EHS management systems and auditing processes. Proficiency in relevant software tools for EHS reporting. Communication:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead training programs and effectively report findings to executives and regulatory bodies. Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical mindset with a focus on driving proactive and data-driven safety and environmental initiatives.
