Purchasing Manager

to lead procurement and sourcing operations for our manufacturing plant. This individual will oversee purchasing activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of parts and materials critical to production. The Purchasing Manager will have at least one Buyer reporting to them and will work closely with plant leadership, production, and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing parts and materials for the plant. Manage and mentor a Buyer to ensure department goals and deadlines are met. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, evaluating suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, budget compliance, and adherence to company policies. Coordinate with production, warehouse, and scheduling teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Implement and maintain strategies for cost reduction, improved lead times, and vendor performance. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing. Prioritize workload, manage multiple projects, and maintain strong time management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Track and report key purchasing metrics to support operational decision-making. Qualifications: Minimum

3 years of tenure in each prior role

– stable work history required. 4+ years of management experience

preferred (supervisory or leadership experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain). Strong background in procurement, supply chain, scheduling, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or related fields. Experience progressing from roles such as Accounts Payable, Buyer, Procurement Specialist, etc., is welcome. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Proficient with purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment: 5 days onsite in our Duke, OK manufacturing plant. Collaborative, fast-paced setting with a focus on operational excellence.
