REED Next is a provider of home and community-based services for adults with autism. REED provides training on the implementation of Applied Behavior Analytic interventions and evidence-based practice. REED offers free RBT training and supervision, as well as BCBA supervision to all candidates. Responsibilities: Assists and encourages individuals to care for immediate personal needs such as toileting, showering, and eating Teaches individuals daily skills such as household chores, laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes, as appropriate according to their individual plan Assists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans Keeps residence – both interior and exterior – and resident personal space clean, organized, and tidy and encourage them to participate in home beautification and upkeep as appropriate according to their individual plans Prepares nutritional meals based on individual needs and preferences Empowers parents / guardians and community members in their roles to support individuals served Models appropriate behaviors necessary for successful adjustment and immersion into community participation and living Provides transportation to and from program sites Implements Individual & Behavior Support Plans Monitors the health and safety of individuals served (includes providing appropriate supervision) Reports Unusual Incidents in accordance with policy and procedure Records client progress and maintain records of services performed Ensures that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner Follows all protocols, program and schedules as indicated by the Clinical Team Administers medications to individuals as assigned Ensures each individuals’ rights are protected Treats individuals with dignity, respect and fairness All other duties as assigned All employees are required to cooperate with the licensee and Division staff in any inspection or investigation
Qualifications: Must be 20 years of age. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Participate and pass Pre-Employment, In-Service and Annual Training requirements of NJ DDD & REED Next. Obtain CPR & First Aid. Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record is in compliance with organization’s driving policy. Clear criminal record and other background checks in accordance with NJ DDD State & REED Next requirements. Strong communication skills, both written and oral are required. Ability to pass all required trainings. Ability to convey, understand and follow spoken and written instructions in English. Experience working with adults with autism preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Benefits: 176 hours of Paid Time Off Subsidized health and dental insurance (eligible after 90 days) 401k retirement benefits (available after 1 year of employment) Pay: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour. Employees will start at the training rate of $17.50 per hour. This rate remains effective for the 10 days of training. Once training is complete and shadowing begins, the rate will be increased depending on education level to $19.50 - $20.50 A $2000 retention bonus - details and service requirements shared upon employment. Available once per lifetime. Not applicable for current staff
