Job Description: The EHS Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role involves developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across operations. The EHS Engineer works closely with production, maintenance, and regulatory teams to minimize hazards and ensure safe handling of chemicals and equipment.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors. Manage hazardous waste disposal and chemical inventory tracking. Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve workplace safety. Maintain documentation and reporting for permits, inspections, and corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process safety management (PSM) protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of EHS experience in chemical or process manufacturing. Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and industrial hygiene practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Certification in CSP, CIH, or similar is a plus.
