Structural Steel Design Engineer
to support major utility projects involving transmission poles, lattice towers, and substation support structures.
Key Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis/design of steel utility structures Design concrete foundations per ACI 318 Ensure compliance with ASCE 7, IBC, ASCE 48, NESC 2017 Analyse wind/seismic loads for structure base reactions Collaborate across teams for timely project delivery Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Structural focus preferred) Strong knowledge of AISC design, ASCE/IBC/NESC codes Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s in Civil Engineering PE License (or ability to obtain in OR, WA, CA, ID, AZ, or UT) Experience with PLS-POLE, MFAD, FEA software Familiarity with utility industry and structure optimization
