Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Contract Negotiator
to join our team in Janesville, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of contracts to ensure favorable terms for GEA, compliance with legal standards, and alignment with company policies. You will work closely with internal stakeholders—such as sales, procurement, project management, and legal teams—to secure agreements that protect our interests and support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including sales agreements, procurement contracts, service agreements, NDAs, and partnership arrangements. Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. Collaborate with internal departments to understand business needs and risk considerations. Identify and mitigate contractual risks, proposing alternative clauses or terms when necessary. Maintain accurate records of all negotiations and final agreements. Monitor contract performance, ensuring obligations and timelines are met. Stay current with industry regulations, trends, and best practices in contract negotiation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field (JD preferred). 3+ years of experience in contract negotiation, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment. Strong knowledge of contract law, terms, and negotiation strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams while maintaining attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
