RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans using evidence-based practices. Deliver individualized mental health therapy. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Active Alaska licensure (LMSW, LPC, PsyD) or eligibility to obtain upon hire. Minimum of 3 years' experience in individual and/or family therapy. Experience with pediatric/adolescent and adult clients preferred. Proficient in DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnosis and trauma-informed care. Skilled in utilizing assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Demonstrated understanding of harm reduction and patient-centered care approaches. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Capable of working independently while contributing positively to team dynamics. Competent with electronic health records and documentation requirements. Physical Requirement: Ability to sit, type, and conduct interviews for extended periods in a clinical setting.
ENVIRONMENT:
South Peninsula Hospital is a 22-bed Critical Access Hospital with an attached 28-bed Long-Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula. Counselors work closely with a team to serve the communitys mental health needs.
