DescriptionJob Summary:The Welder is responsible for performing a variety of duties including welding and metal fabrication of commercial restaurant components. This employee will be involved in manufacturing of metal furniture and elements of varied complexity including fabrication of products, equipment operation, machine set-up, and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities/Expectations: Complete set-up and operation of MIG and TIG welding equipment, including use of proper jigs. Closely inspects materials for defects, proper weld/welding techniques, tolerances, customer specifications, and dimensions on products. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, tool changes, and minor repairs to welding and metal fabrication processes. Essential Skills: Positive attitude and ability to work in a team-based environment Excellent attention to detail Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to read a tape measure Excellent communication skillsEducation and Experience: 2+ years working as a welder Metal fabrication experience is a plus Welding certification preferred Must be able to pass a weld testPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
