You light the way. More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Welder in Littlestown, PA with Signify. Weld predominately extruded aluminum, die-cast, and sandcast using MIG and TIG welding practicesOperate both auto and semi-automated welding equipmentMake adjustments necessary for aluminum alloy being used including intensity of arc, slope and amount of argonWork from drawings and written or verbal instructions. Examine finished work for defects and conformance with specificationsInterpret material/part needs and order of priority listed on work orders and production schedules by using ability to read and accurately complete move tickets and other tracking documentsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and practices. Includes wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed and/or requiredPerform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning tipsAssist in Machine Shop when neededMore about youWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:High school diploma or GED preferred2+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment performing a welding operation. MIG welding a must; TIG welding a plusExperience welding aluminum preferredAbility to accurately read and interpret blueprints and follow engineering specificationsAbility to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 75 lbsAbility to read and understand English. Ability to comply with established Safety policies and proceduresPossess good hand/eye coordinationMachining experience with drill press and band saws a plusMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needsEverything we'll do for youYou can grow a lasting career here.
