PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: All ages
• Patient Volume/Census: Average 3 4 patients per hour
• Admissions: No
• Rounding: Not Included
• Case Mix: Cold/flu, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, minor burns, splints, X-rays/EKGs, drawing blood, incision & drainage; high-acuity cases referred to ER

• Office Equipment Available: Standard urgent care equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Remote physician available for escalation when on-site physician not present
• Support Staff Available: Medical assistants, radiology technicians

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Suturing, wound care, incision & drainage
• Splinting
• X-ray and EKG interpretation
• Blood draws and IV insertion
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Board: Board Certified (Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care)
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years urgent care or 1 year emergency medicine
• Other Qualifications: Comfortable seeing all ages and performing urgent care procedures
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive urgent care to patients of all ages
• Diagnose and treat minor injuries, infections, and illnesses
• Perform suturing, splinting, wound care, incision & drainage
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays and EKGs
• Draw blood and initiate IV therapy
• Refer high-acuity cases to emergency department as appropriate
• Collaborate with on-site or remote physicians and support staff
• Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
