New Colon/Rectal Surgery Locums Job in Georgia
Our client in Georgia is losing one of their Colon Rectal Surgeons and will need assistance with coverage while they recruit.
Details/Requirements for Assignment :
- Coverage request: 7 consecutive 24 hour call coverage shifts per month
- Active Georgia license or current LOQ with the IMLC required
- Current Board Certification by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery or General Surgery required
- Must have proficiency in lower GI procedures if not C&R boarded (see below)
- Lower abdominal/digestive tract procedures colonoscopies, colon resections, Anoscopies, rectal surgery
- Must have active ACLS and BLS
- Covering the ED, IP and consults and emergency procedures and clinic
- Will cover as soon as credentialed and ongoing for at least 6 months (credentialing timeframe is 4-5 months)
- Hospital has a doctor retiring, which is the reason for the opening
- No APP support but there are 3 docs in the practice that will be available in the clinic or OR if support is needed
- Can expect to see a mix of 12-15 consults/procedures per shift and 1-3 cases when on call
- EMR is EPIC, hospital is 503 beds
