Children Panel Solicitor

We are currently recruiting a Children Panel Solicitor to join our Family Department at our Birmingham office. We are regulated by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority, operate paperlessly, and have over 250 personnel across the firm. We embrace hybrid working and are dedicated to justice and client care. You will join our Child Care department, led by Max Konarek and Ryan Booth, representing parents, guardians, children, adopters, foster carers, and kinship carers, advising on all child care law matters. Our team includes Law Society Children’s Panel members, Family Panel, and Resolution specialists. We also handle Child Abduction cases with expert legal support. We are looking for: A Children Panel member with a guardian following to join our family team in our Birmingham office A committed lawyer experienced in all aspects of child care work, including advising and assisting team members Someone capable of managing caseloads with varying complexities An advocate willing to ensure consistency for our clients Experience in public law, child protection, SGO, and adoption matters At least 3 years PQE A driven, team-oriented professional who fosters ongoing development and encourages cross-referrals Previous experience at this level with a following is highly desirable A passion for publicly funded work Desire to develop within the team About you: Passionate about publicly funded work Experienced in advocacy with a desire to grow Detail-oriented with the confidence to work independently and in a team Solicitor or Legal Executive Law Society’s Children Law accreditation Excellent client care skills Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Employee benefits include: Profit sharing through bonuses based on billing and targets Pension scheme with employer contributions Administrative support, firm laptop, and mobile phone Cycle to work scheme Ongoing training and development Hybrid working arrangements Support from colleagues and mentors Annual appraisals and salary reviews Bi-annual social events Additional perks and benefits Our lawyers focus on fee earning; billing and credit control are managed by other teams.
