Cook Supervisor
The Cook Supervisor oversees daily kitchen operations in both hot and cold areas, ensuring food preparation meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role combines hands-on cooking with leadership responsibilities, guiding kitchen staff and coordinating meal production to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff including cooks, prep workers, and dishwashers. Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menus. Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure consistency. Maintain inventory of food supplies and place orders as needed. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Schedule staff shifts and manage timekeeping records. Collaborate with management to plan menus and accommodate dietary restrictions. Collaborate and address food-related issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and workstations. Provide management with any kitchen concerns promptly. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification preferred. 3+ years of cooking experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in basic computer systems for inventory and scheduling. Passion for food and hospitality. Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in hot, cold, humid, and noisy kitchen environments. Manual dexterity for handling kitchen tools and equipment.
