OSP Internship Coordinator

The OSP Internship Coordinator facilitates training and employment opportunities for students with disabilities enrolled in the Occupational Skills Program. This role is essential for supporting students in the classroom and on the job, supporting students' transition from school to work, enhancing classroom learning experiences, and establishing and maintaining meaningful internship sites. By collaborating with employers, outside agencies, and educational staff, the coordinator ensures students receive comprehensive support both in the classroom and the workplace, promoting their personal and professional development. Principal Responsibilities And Results: Establish internship sites for community-based instruction, including writing training plans and agreements, and establishing safety requirements for the job. Develop job possibilities for individuals with disabilities who have been or are currently enrolled in the Occupational Skills Program. Job (lab) support: Provide transition, tutoring and support services as needed by individual students, including assistance from a school setting to the job site, being a job coach and training coach and making referrals as needed. Academic support Salary Range:

$21.57-$30.13/ per hour Minimum Qualifications: Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure; AND one year of teaching/tutoring experience in at the high school level or above. OR 4 years of work experience -no degree/certification/diploma/licensure required. OR An equivalent combination of education and work experience Preferred Qualification: Familiarity with community resources and agencies that support individuals with disabilities, and the ability to establish strong working relationships with them. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, employers, parents, and colleagues. Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience providing individualized support and coaching to students with diverse needs in both classroom and work-based settings Other Requirements: In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
