The Rundown AI, Inc.
As the AI Operations Lead, your job will be to help Descript transition the way we are structured and work at Descript as if the current and forthcoming set of AI tools were available to us from day one.
What you’ll do
Operational diagnostics & roadmap
– Embed deeply with functions to map workflows, latency points, and resource spend, and identify opportunities for AI to help us move faster and leaner. AI‑driven process design
– Prototype and deploy agentic workflows (e.g., agent‑built content generation, n8n‑orchestrated campaign ops, FP&A scenario modeling) that compress cycle time and improve output quality. Organizational design & change management
– Recommend structure, skill mix, and tooling that maximize velocity and clarity. Thought leadership & enablement
– Serve as internal evangelist for AI adoption; stay ahead of emerging agent frameworks and best practices in vibecoding, n8n, and similar toolchains; run workshops and create reusable playbooks. Strategic projects
– Lead high‑leverage initiatives for the CEO that require analytical rigor and cross‑functional orchestration. About you
2+ years in strategy consulting, operations, product management, or biz‑ops within high‑growth SaaS; track record of driving tech‑enabled operating‑model shifts. Hands‑on builder with modern AI tooling: LLMs, chatbots, vibecoding stacks, agent frameworks, vector DBs, n8n or similar workflow orchestrators; comfortable writing prompts and low‑code automations.
Nice to have: Prior product management experience and strong product sense.
Systems thinker who can zoom from 30,000‑foot strategy to command‑line granularity. Credible influencer who balances candor with empathy; willing to challenge the status quo. What success looks like
≥100% reduction in average cycle time across targeted workflows. ≥25% increase in ARR per employee while maintaining or improving customer satisfaction 50% of key workflows executed via AI agents with ≥95% quality thresholds. Logistics
Reports directly to the CEO. Starts as a high‑impact individual contributor with potential to build a small Automation & Ops pod as the roadmap expands. Location:
SanFranciscoBayArea; in‑office presence expected 2–3 days per week (flexible hybrid). Competitive cash & equity; comprehensive benefits including health, 401(k), and generous PTO.
