IT Solutions Architect
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Solutions Architect to lead the design, documentation, and migration of enterprise IT and systems management solutions from on-premises Windows Server environments to the U.S. Navy's Microsoft Azure environment.
In this high-impact role, you will join a multidisciplinary team of systems and network engineers supporting the U.S. Navy's digital transformation efforts. Your mission will be to modernize and optimize legacy server platforms through strategic divestment or migration to the cloud.
What You'll Work On:
Identify opportunities to retire legacy on-premises technologies.
Guide our Navy client through a seamless transition to scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based services.
Lead the design of end-to-end Azure-based architectures for Windows Server-based enterprise IT systems and management tools.
Collaborate with systems and network engineering teams to assess current-state environments and identify migration dependencies.
Develop detailed workload migration plans, including timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
Work closely with technical and program managers to ensure alignment of architecture plans with broader project goals and timelines.
Define and document cloud architecture standards, best practices, and technical patterns for Azure workloads.
Provide guidance and oversight during implementation phases to ensure architectural compliance.
Assist in developing business cases and TCO or ROI analyses for cloud migration initiatives.
Scale delivery of modern systems engineering best practices, including Digital Engineering, Automation, and Orchestration across both systems and network solutions.
Identify and document unfunded business requirements.

You Have: 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT architecture with a strong focus on Windows Server environments. 5+ years managing enterprise Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, MECM, WSUS, and their Azure equivalents. 3+ years designing and implementing Azure-based solutions. Experience developing comprehensive IT infrastructure automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, or automation tools like Ansible or Terraform. Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed teams. Ability to automate the installation and operation of Windows Server-based applications and solutions. Secret clearance. HS diploma or GED. Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC, or SSCP within 30 days of hire.

Experience across enterprise-level platforms encompassing servers, storage, networking, software, and application services or equivalent depth within a single technical domain. Experience collaborating and coordinating with senior stakeholders and organizational leaders. Ability to mentor junior team members, fostering growth and technical excellence. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced Cybersecurity Certification such as CASP+ or CISSP.
