About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our hardware development team with a focus on the design, prototyping, and validation of high-efficiency battery charger systems . You will be responsible for architecting robust power conversion topologies, selecting components, and ensuring regulatory compliance for chargers integrated into our next-generation battery-powered products.
You will work closely with embedded firmware developers, battery management system engineers, and product teams to deliver reliable and scalable charger solutions for mass production.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, simulate, and validate AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion topologies (e.g., flyback, LLC, buck, boost, PFC).
  • Develop and optimize battery charging circuits for lithium-based chemistries and across various voltage and current ranges.
  • Select power components (MOSFETs, IGBTs, magnetics, capacitors, gate drivers) based on efficiency, thermal performance, and cost trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated experience with GaN or SiC power semiconductors in charger or power supply development.
  • Lead schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and component derating for charger hardware.
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers on real-time control loops , current limiting, fault detection, and thermal management strategies.
  • Conduct laboratory validation, stress testing, and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, safety , and regulatory standards (UL, IEC, ISO).
  • Support integration of charging systems with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and overall product architecture.
  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in power electronics design , with a focus on battery charger , power supply development or inverter design
    • Strong proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink ).
    • Hands-on experience with switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) and digital/analog control of converters.
    • Familiarity with thermal design , PCB layout best practices , and power stage protection circuits .
    • Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, and thermal chambers.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in systems over 60V and multi-kW charger design.
    • Background in EV charging , robotics , drones , or industrial energy systems .
    • Knowledge of functional safety , isolation requirements , and fail-safe system design .
    • Exposure to firmware-controlled digital power systems (DSPs, microcontrollers, FPGAs).
    • Experience with design for EMC and compliance testing .

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every single qualification.
Location Policy
We believe the best work is done when collaborating and therefore require in-person presence in our office locations.
We're excited to get to know you and the prospects of having you on board!
