General Summary of Duties
Christie Clinic's department of Infusion Center is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative at the Fields clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.
Duties include the performance of skills through the delivery of patient care using a systematic patient assessment.

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. Must perform all necessary duties while intermittently wearing lead apron and lead collar (during C-arm radiologic services.)
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids, and other waste common to a health care environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
PAY AND BENEFITS:

- Prepare exam/ treatment areas with necessary instruments prior to appointment. Clean and restock following appointment.
- Escort and assist patient to exam room, take vitals, weight, and height of patient according to requirerments. Prepare and update the electronic medical record for patient visit needs.
- Maintain and update patient medical record upon visit including allergies, medications, etc. and enter into electronic medical record.
- Assist as requested with procedures during appointment including as indicated patient positioning, site prep, and draping.
- Establish and maintain sterile fields.
- Review online transcriptions prior to patient appointment and update during appointment, as necessary.
- Answer phones and schedule labs, tests, and appointments as needed.
- Look up prior authorizations for procedures, medications, testing, etc.
- Order and maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.
- Perform related work as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous health care experience
- Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate and/or graduation from an accredited program for medical assistants.
- CPR Certification
