Job Overview:
As a Quality Engineer (QE) , you will work closely with Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to maintain quality standards in a low-volume, high-mix precision manufacturing environment . This role requires expertise in ISO 9001:2015, GD&T, CMM programming, PPAPs, and process control methods . You'll be an essential part of a team dedicated to driving innovation , improving processes, and ensuring that products exceed both customer and internal expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee First-Article Inspections (FAI) and PPAP submissions for customer approval.
  • Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R studies , and process capability analysis .
  • Manage gage calibration programs using GageTrac software and oversee gage setup for production.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and drive corrective actions.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, FMEAs, Control Plans, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and CAPAs .
  • Participate in New Part Introduction (NPI), Engineering Changes (ECN), and Process Improvements (IPC) .
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of quality experience in a precision machining or metal manufacturing environment.
Strong background in ISO 9001:2015 compliance, GD&T , and CNC machining (lathes & mills) .
Experience in a low-volume, high-mix production environment.
Knowledge of CMM programming (Hexagon, PC-DMIS preferred) .
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma methodologies , and root cause analysis .
Ability to work independently , prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
