nInsight Global is looking for a Sr Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer to join one of our largest clients in Indianapolis, IN. The Sr Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer will be responsible for leading development efforts across multiple dynamic programs, focusing on the design, integration, and deployment of embedded solutions. This role requires deep expertise in embedded systems, architecture bring-up, and hardware/software co-design for ARM-based platforms. The engineer will develop mission-critical firmware using C/C++ for applications involving serial interfaces, RF and video DSP pipelines, controls, data links, and embedded compute. Responsibilities include close collaboration with hardware teams on PCB design, layout validation, and interface timing analysis, as well as system simulation and algorithm refinement. The position demands proficiency in low-level networking and processor communication, including multi-chip bring-up via serial buses and Ethernet interfaces.

nSkills and Requirements
nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field
n48 years experience in embedded firmware/software development
nStrong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle development
nHands-on experience with ARM architecture, integration, and low-level bring-up
nProficiency in Embedded C and exposure to OOP methodologies (C++, Python)
nFamiliarity with scripting languages used for deployment, testing, or tooling Experience with RTOS environments, bootloader development, and/or bare-metal applications
nExperience with Linux-based embedded systems, including kernel tailoring, device tree configuration, and custom driver support
nExperience with bootloaders (e.g., U-Boot), hypervisor technologies, and multi-core scheduling strategies null
