Packaging Supervisor – 2nd Shift Job Location: Forest Park, IL Shift: 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM (4-3 Schedule) – rotating / occasional weekends Salary: $80k/yr+, based on experience + 10% annual bonus Make an Impact We are looking for a Packaging Supervisor to lead and manage hourly employees while executing production and logistics plans. This role requires someone comfortable in both manufacturing and office environments and skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The Packaging Supervisor oversees all operations for the assigned shift—including production, warehousing, labor relations, quality, safety, site security, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of production and logistics activities through operators and hourly staff
- Implement and support plans to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Operate production lines in accordance with FDA regulations, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines
- Direct and support hourly teams in activities such as receiving, processing, mixing, packaging, and shipping
- Manage shift changes, communication, daily production targets, and labor reconciliation
- Develop and coach employees to support compliance and ensure consistent product quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues impacting performance
- Support Lean initiatives and training as directed by the Operations Manager
- Own regulatory compliance and food safety responsibilities including sanitation, allergen and pest control, food safety policy adherence, employee safety, and sustainability standards
- Participate in daily product quality reviews
- Lead and support projects as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Strong understanding of GMP principles
- Mechanical, process, or packaging experience strongly preferred
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop employees at all levels
- Commitment to producing high-quality, food-safe products and promoting a strong quality culture
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Effective time management and organization
- Ability to manage complexity and multitask in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
