O’Neil Cannon is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney in Milwaukee with 7+ years of experience. As an Estate Planning Attorney, you will be at the center of helping clients through the sometimes-challenging process of settling the estates of their loved ones. You will have access to the significant resources of our firm - our team of lawyers provides a diverse array of legal services to a variety of business clients including banking and financial institutions, private equity, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, franchising, and professional service firms. We also have a sophisticated litigation practice which has handled some of the largest, most high profile and complex lawsuits ever filed in the State of Wisconsin. We are proud of our unique culture, which combines the expertise of much larger firms with a personalized, very high level of client service.
Develop and implement advanced estate planning strategies, including SLATs, GRATs, IDGTs, CLTs, FLPs, and other complex planning techniques
Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents tailored to high-net-worth clients
Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, estate/gift tax implications, and charitable planning
Collaborate with clients’ tax advisors, financial planners, and fiduciaries to create integrated planning solutions and ensure cohesive planning
Stay current on developments in estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax law
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and staff as appropriate
