Psych Atlanta (A Hightop Health Clinic) is a leading outpatient psychiatric practice located in Marietta, GA, specializing in evidence-based care for mood, anxiety, and neurocognitive disorders. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clinical Rater to join our research team.
Position Summary
The Clinical Rater plays a key role in the success of our clinical trials by administering psychological assessments, structured interviews, and rating scales to research participants. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment. You will be assisting with Phase II and III studies to include: Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured clinical interviews and administer standardized rating scales (e.g., MADRS, HAM-D, HAM-A, AIRS, C-SSRS) in accordance with study protocols
- Administers and scores psychometric tests for clinical trial participants in accordance with the study protocol.
- · Administers and scores neurocognitive tests for clinical trial participants in accordance with the study protocol.
- · Administers patient reported outcome assessments for clinical trial participants in accordance with the study protocol.
- · Administer tests for a variety of mental health indications.
- · Performs psychiatric diagnostic interviews per DSM-5 criteria as required per study protocol.
- · Collaborates with members of the research team and Principle Investigator to ensure appropriate patient care.
- · Accurately completes necessary sponsor training or retraining per clinical trial requirements.
- · Attends study meetings as needed. · Assesses adverse events, changes in health, and changes in medication(s) per protocol and FDA regulations.
- · Other assigned duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Psychology Preferred. (or MS in Biology or Chemistry)
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical research setting or mental health-related field is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic data capture systems
