POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of purchasing (direct materials, indirect materials, and services), material planning, and supplier management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain operations. This role plays a critical part in optimizing the supply chain, driving continuous improvement, and managing global sourcing activities—including import/export operations. The role requires close cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Production, Quality, Project Management, and Finance to support business goals.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Own and lead the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
Manage sourcing strategies for direct materials, indirect supplies, and services.
Conduct global supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
Oversee procurement execution and ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
Analyze market intelligence including global market trends, risk assessment and competitive benchmarking.
Material Planning
Oversee and execute material planning to support production schedules, considering lead times, MOQ, BOMs, and inventory targets.
Optimize inventory levels and manage working capital through data-driven planning.
Mitigate supply risks and resolve material shortages in a proactive manner.
Escalate critical materials and create mitigation plans.
Continuously drive supply chain optimization projects.
Import/Export Operations
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate timely cross-border movements.
Monitor international logistics performance and country-level risks.
Support global sourcing and localization initiatives.
Drive cost savings and total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction projects.
Foster long-term partnerships with critical suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of purchasing and material planning professionals.
Ensure documentation of all procurement processes and compliance with internal controls.

Understanding of JIT, Kanban, Milk Run, and logistics optimization concepts.
Demonstrated understanding of effective supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and material planning in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years of team management experience.
Experience with global sourcing and international trade operations.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, inventory management, and supply chain KPIs.
Proficient in Excel, analytics, and reporting.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
Lean Six Sigma experience. This position will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all state and federal regulations (such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, etc.). The noise level in the work environment is mild and conducive to normal office communication levels. and use office equipment such as fax, computer, mouse, keyboard, phone, copier.
