About the Role
As an Echocardiographer at Novant Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality cardiac imaging services. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. In this role, you will:
* Perform a variety of echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms.
* Analyze and interpret hemodynamic data to assist in clinical decision-making.
* Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintain and operate echocardiography equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
* Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all procedures.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
* Graduate of a formal Cardiovascular Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred.
* Two years of echocardiography experience preferred.
Certifications:
* Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) required.
* New graduates must obtain registry within six months of hire.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Skills & Abilities:
* Proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiographic studies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
