Network Security Engineer
On-site at airport facility (Austin) 6-month contract (with potential extension or FTE conversion) MondayFriday, full-time on-site The Cybersecurity Analyst Senior will serve as a Network Security Engineer responsible for managing, maintaining, and implementing network security infrastructure. The role requires hands-on expertise in firewalls, routing, and identity access management systems, with a focus on operational readiness and rapid response in a complex airport environment. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and configure firewalls (Cisco and Palo Alto) Handle routing and network segmentation Administer Cisco ISE for identity and access management Implement new devices based on architectural designs Replace outdated hardware and deploy new systems Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Respond to network security incidents and troubleshoot issues Participate in on-site assessments to validate technical proficiency Required Skills:
Expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls Strong understanding of network routing protocols Experience with Cisco ISE or similar IAM tools Ability to implement designs provided by the architect Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: CCNP (Cisco) or PCNSE (Palo Alto) Experience: 23 years in a similar role Proven ability to deploy and replace network devices Familiarity with airport or high-security environments EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
