Coverage may include a mix of day, mid, evening, and weekend shifts. Working on holidays is optional, not required. Typical shift times include: Weekday Shifts: Day Shift: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM Mid Shift: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Evening/Pyxis Shift: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM Weekend Shifts: DW: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM EW: 12:00 PM 10:30 PM Location: 9395 CROWN CREST BLVD, Parker, 80138 The role youll contribute: Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. Supports pharmacists and provides distributive pharmacy services to ensure safe and accurate medication services, supporting all those involved in direct patient care. Works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performing delegated duties, tasks, and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital. Additional responsibilities include clinical compliance in sterilization techniques, sample medication oversight and compliance, OSHA requirements, and any other compliance standards required within the clinical realm of the practice. Applicable Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) - Required Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per applicable legislation - Required Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Required The value youll bring to the team: Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy specific computer systems, and operational programs. Maintains operational expertise and competency and actively provides coverage of at least two of the following: Central/distributive pharmacy operations. The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience (Retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience) PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician in the applicable jurisdiction Required Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Health Career Association (NHA) Preferred qualifications: Associates degree IV Compounding experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
