Job Title: Quality and Warehouse Specialist Location: Canal Fulton, OH (Plant 2) Department: Quality / Warehouse Reports To: Quality Manager Job Type: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday–Friday)
Position Summary:
The Quality and Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely handling of all materials entering and leaving the warehouse. This day-shift role supports quality control functions, receiving and inspection of both customer-furnished and purchased materials, inventory management, and outbound shipping coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and works effectively with cross-functional teams including procurement, project management, production, and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control
Perform quality inspections on renewable energy products.
Document inspection findings and store reports and photos systematically.
Assist with capturing and storing final loaded truck photos.
Manage and maintain the Gage Calibration System to ensure all equipment is within compliance.
Receiving & Inspection – Vendor-Supplied (Lindsay Product)
Coordinate with procurement on expected deliveries.
Support the team in unloading LTL shipments.
Verify part numbers, descriptions, and quantities against purchase orders.
Report discrepancies or damage to procurement.
Receive and sign for parcel shipments.
Label incoming materials appropriately for storage or production.
Perform receipt entries in the Titan system.
Receiving & Inspection – Customer-Furnished Equipment
Verify part numbers, descriptions, and quantities for customer-supplied materials.
Inspect for shipping damage and report as needed.
Complete quality control checklists and take required photographs.
Assist dispatch with the coordination of incoming transformer deliveries.
Warehouse Management
Identify and report materials needing Kanban replenishment.
Restock and reset Kanban inventory systems (with team support).
Maintain organization and accuracy of storage locations and inventory systems.
Assist in pulling replacement inventory for customer requests.
Prepare kits, pick, and deliver materials for production.
Shipping & Outbound Logistics
Package and label replacement parts for shipment.
Schedule pickups for replacement parts in coordination with PM and dispatch.
Coordinate outbound shipments of finished products with the dispatch team.
General & Continuous Improvement
Participate in warehouse and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree is a plus.
2+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or quality control role.
Familiarity with inventory systems (e.g., Titan, ERP platforms).
Experience working with inspection tools and calibration systems preferred.
Ability to read and interpret part numbers, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to 50 lbs). Forklift experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Day Shift: Monday through Friday
Warehouse and medium manufacturing environment.
May involve standing, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment.
Outdoor work during loading/unloading processes will be required.
