Piper Companies is seeking a
Resident Network Engineer
to join a leading Cable Service Provider in
Denver, Colorado
in an
On-Site
environment. This is a highly technical, post-sales support role with a focus on IP-based service provider networks and security platforms.
Responsibilities of the Resident Network Engineer include: • Work closely with customer and Technical Assistance Centre to resolve issues. • Act as a customer technical liaison for Networks support and development teams. • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems of a diverse scope. • Assist in the development and testing of new features and services/functionality. • Provide informal workshops to transfer knowledge to engineering staff/customers. • Evaluate technical specifications for interoperability. • Assist the customer to develop Network and Equipment Operating Procedures.
Qualifications for the Resident Network Engineer include: • 5+ years of experience supporting networking and security products in LAN/WAN/Internet environments. • Experience with JUNOS CLI or other Network OS. • Hands-on experience with SRX Series high-end firewalls (cluster and MNHA). • Understanding of security best practices: Stateful firewall, NAT, ALG's, DOS/DDOS mitigation, IPS/IDS, AppFW, SIEM, Threat intelligence. • Strong knowledge of IP service provider protocols: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP, IPv6, BGP), VPNs. • Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of JUNOS and SRX-Series products.
Compensation for the Resident Network Engineer includes:
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
