Job Description:
As a Senior Developer, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications using .NET, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services. This role requires advanced expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud architecture, and secure application design, with the ability to lead technical initiatives from concept to deployment. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, apply architectural best practices, and leverage emerging technologies to deliver robust enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable cloud-based web applications utilizing Azure services such as App Services, Storage, Azure SQL, and Functions. Develop and maintain robust data integration between .NET applications and SQL databases. Apply security best practices to protect application and data integrity throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Drive adoption of architectural standards, design patterns, and cloud optimization strategies. Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies to enhance solutions. Provide after-hours support when necessary to maintain application stability and availability. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree (4-year college) required. 5+ years of experience with .NET Framework (1.1-4.6.x), C#, ASP.NET, WCF Web Services, and Microsoft SQL Server. 2+ years of experience with .NET Core and Web API development. Proven experience designing and implementing applications within Azure, including App Services, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database. Strong understanding of object-oriented development and design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, Repository, and dependency injection. Experience with Visual Studio, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance in the Microsoft technology stack. Expertise in SQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. Ability to maintain and extend technical documentation. Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication abilities, and experience presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences. Preferred:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Azure DevOps, Terraform, ARM templates). Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Knowledge of microservices, service-oriented architectures, and containerization. Understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
